When life gives us lemons, we make lemonade
But what to do when we get too many lemons? Hum! Lets make a great Mojito! Sometimes the choices we made take us somewhere unexpected. Business, much like life, is riddled with a constant barrage of unique challenges. This is how De Hojas, a natural skin care line was created, when challenges down the road pushed us to make Mojitos in order to bring life best. Yes, we had empty pockets and low capital but we had buckets full of creativity, enthusiasm, energy and knowledge. Time had gone by and today, almost eight years after De Hojas was born, we can say without a doubt that our brand is recognized for its quality, freshness and reliability. Keeping up with the innovation and creativity, a new line - Love Pineapple!, was launched in 2015.
De Hojas and Love Pineapple!, are handcrafted weekly in small batches in our workshop, where we use the best local ingredients such as fresh goat's milk, fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers grown in the island. Love and respect are key in every step of our production processes. We continue with the same enthusiasm and energy that we had eight years ago. We feel a great responsibility toward our expanding clientele, responsibility that pushes us to improve and expand our knowledge every day. We get inspired by the beautiful flora around us, the sunrises on the field, the sunsets on the cobbled streets of Old San Juan, our enchanting coasts and our people. We are proud to be part of the creative force and producers of our country. We are proud to be Puerto Rico.
